In Flight

Here are my offerings for this Challenge.

Pelicans are quite common around most Australian ports and harbours but they seem to congregate in quite large numbers in quieter bays up and down the Eastern coast. Just an hour or so north of Sydney, they are quite an attraction especially around feeding time.

  6. "What a wonderful bird is a pelican,
His beak holds more than his belly can . . ." or something like that. They are pretty birds and you caught them beautifully in-flight.

  12. So these aren't from Greenwell Point?

  13. Yeah they are. The attraction part of my post was referring to The Entrance where they have the daily feeding and people go to see.

These particular shots were taken at Greenwell Point.

  15. The pelican shots are great. It looks the second on was posing for you! We had the monarch picture on our web. It was taken in our backyard in Missouri. We couldn’t believe it when we saw the trees shimmering with them. We must be in their migration path to Mexico.
